Re: What information can a forum see other than ip address?

Forums only have your IP address and the information you give them (username, email, password) and the cookie(s) they place.

The tools I mention, and others, help to gain additional insights based on IP address, username, and email.

Tools like this site, StopForumSpam, etc.

You are correct, if you leave the forum and then turn off the VPN or otherwise change your IP address they won't see that.

Re: What information can a forum see other than ip address?

Most platforms only track IP address, username, and email address.

Moderators may be using additional tools to review users before approving them but really only start with the information above.

Could be that they don't approve users in certain countries, etc.

Re: What information can a forum see other than ip address?

It's likely that you are being rejected *because* you are trying to hide your IP address. Proxies, Tor, and VPNs IP are often easy to identify.

Some forum admins are very strict as to who they allow to post to this forums and would rather choose to block too many new accounts than too few.

Re: Hacked from an IP address

See https://whatismyipaddress.com/ip/112.213.143.93

Don't see anything out of the ordinary that would indicate a VPN, proxy, compromised machine, or something like that.

Re: Can't update geolocation - No geolocation map

If you want the location to be more accurate you would need to enable browser geolocation and then use the update tool.

Re: Hacked from an IP address

To get the exact address you would need to hire a lawyer, file a lawsuit, and subpoena the ISP customer records.

If you supply the IP address we can provide general information.

Re: blacklist

The SPFBL is designed for mail server to mail server communication. If you are not running a mail server you don't need to worry about being listed there.
