Re: IP blacklist help

If mail you are sending out isn't being blocked, I wouldn't worry too much. The listing at SORBS appears to be because 73.235.146.47 is a dynamic IP address. If you're using webmail or your provider's recommended settings, this shouldn't be a problem. The listing at SPFBL might need to be actioned b...

Re: IP Blakilist

Are you running an email server at this IP address? from https://www.abuseat.org/lookup.cgi?ip=197.149.145.36, which gives information about the CBL listing: The listing of this IP is because it HELOs as a bare IP address (A bare ip address looks like: "54.33.33.5"). It is not HELO'ing as itself ("1...

Re: IP Blakilist

Which blacklist are you experiencing difficulties with? As I type, your IP address does not appear to be listed on any of the lists checked by the WhatIsMyIpAddress blacklist check page . Are you running an email server at that IP address? If so, it might be a good idea to arrange for a "Reverse DNS...

Re: email tracing help

I don't normally provide support by PM (private message). If you have an example of an email from this person available, you can use the WhatIsMyIpAddress trace email page to analyse the email, and hopefully get a rough idea of where they are based from the IP addresses recorded in the email headers.

No need for the name calling. I've already indicated that it's not your fault. I'm beginning to think that it IS your fault.

Re: Is there a way to know if an IP or series of them belong to a government agency?

Slow down, take a deep breath. You need to complain to your provider, Digital Ocean. It is perfectly feasible that you are an innocent victim of circumstances caused by other Digital Ocean customers. For example, the second listing mentioned in the link I provided is 192.241.220.0/22, which is a RAN...

Like I said, it might not be your fault. The link I provided refers to ranges of IP addresses. What you are seeing is likely the result of other users of your provider.

Re: Is there a way to know if an IP or series of them belong to a government agency?

A botnet is something nasty, and is described here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Botnet It's possible that it's not your fault. Some user of Digital Ocean's services (possibly your site, possibly someone else's site) might have caught something nasty from somewhere, and tarnished the reputation of ...
