Raspberry Pie VPN

Post by elliotsmythe »

Hey I'm pretty much a noob when it comes down to VPN, but I was wondering if this guide in using a raspberry Pie to run open VPN and connect your computer to it would be as anonymous and using a paid for service, becuase surely if it's in my house then my location is the same as the VPN so would that not mean the VPN ip is in my house so my location would be discoverable?

Yes, running a VPN on your home network will not change your IP address.

If, however, you are traveling and able to connect to it you could access the web as if you were home.
