I want to know that is there any difference in Virtual Private Network and Proxy??? plz some one clear me some basic points if both are different,

Here are the basics:
By using a proxy server your web traffic is being forwarded through the proxy. It does not provide additional security to your web traffic. The data being sent between you and the proxy server is not specifically encrypted. Many proxies are actually compromised machines...
When you are using a VPN all the traffic between you and the VPN server is encrypted.

Thanks for sharing it, I knew that there is some difference but not what actually is. Today I got it.
