Problem with tarcing IP

can i trace the IP of the mail i got from a gmail account with the headers in the mail,
plz help me in this matter

Not really. Gmail does not show you the IP of the actual sender.

To get the person's IP address, you would have to send them an email that would contact something that could track them and let you know what the email address is. Something like a photo on a different server, or a page for them to read. But you would need the server logs to get the information.

That's assuming that the email headers or whatever other information you're using to get a source IP address actually include the sender's IP address. Some providers (e.g. gmail) usually don't provide sufficient information in the email headers for the casual observer to find the true source. nielsencl1's suggestion is one of the better ways I've seen to get around this limitation.

But in order for it to work, the person will have to view the tracking image they use. I would also send a photo that you provide with a title that will interested the person so the load the images. Good Luck!
