This is a very common scam email that is sent to millions of people in the hopes that someone will feel scared, guilty, or embarrassed enough to send them money.

Sometimes they include a password as "proof" they've compromised your device. The password is just one that was found in one of many data breaches -- which is why it's good to use unique passwords for each and every account.

It's really a perspective of how much time, money, and effort law enforcement wants to put into something like this.

The email appears to have been sent through Yahoo, so a complaint to them (with the full headers) may be able to get the email account shut down.

You could check with your email provider and ask them how to create a mail filter to delete messages that contain phrases like "BTC address", "porn site", etc...

It sounds like the work of a pig named James.He's been doing the exact same thing to me since 2018. It wasn't until recently that I caught on to what was happening and who is doing it. I've done all I can do to try and get this weirdo off my jock but it hasn't worked. Only thing left for me to try is to contact the F.B.I from a secure internet connection.
