Question about IP addresses

Post by jimhalley » Sun Feb 06, 2011 1:01 pm

If I identify an IP address, and for example, the address is 80.90.100.01
And then I identify another IP address as 80.90.100.02.
Can I surmise that these different IP addresses come from the same house or location, but maybe from different computers? Thanks for your help

No, the could be on opposite sides of the country. It all depends on how an ISP allocates IP addresses. However, with larger ISPs, it's somewhat more likely that it's in the same general area.
