Android Phone Has Static Ip Why/ Possible Proxy/

Post by IPRabbit1717 »

I used your what is my IP address site a couple months ago and my IP showed up to be in White Castle, Ohio/DOD??? IT also said at the time possible proxy. it also had me blacklisted on two sites so I went to this form and never signed up or did anything but when I came back the next day one of The blacklist was gone and then the next day I came back and checked again and then the other blacklist was gone. and in my IP address had changed I believe to a static IP from a dynamic IP and it says that my ip was in Birmingham Alabama. which is not far for me. and now tonight when I checked it again it says it's in Michigan when I'm in North Alabama. I use T-Mobile as my phone service. if anyone tell me anything I appreciate it.

T-Mobile uses a block of private IP addresses within its own network, listings of those IP addresses with a blacklist can be safely ignored.

The public IP address that the rest of the world sees when you visit websites, use apps, etc is the one that you see when you visit our website.'

The public IP address for a smartphone often changes many times a day. IPv6 IP geolocation is generally less accurate as there are more IPv6 addresses and fewer data points.

What you are seeing is normal, nothing to be concerned about, and unless there is a specific problem there is no need to dig much futher.
