Proxy:Suspected Network Sharing Device

Post by geckoinbelize »

I always check my IP address as my home page for the web to ensure my VPN is running and today I am seeing the message Proxy: Suspected Network Sharing Device for the first time. The fact that it is in red suggests this is not good! What does it mean and what should I do about it if anything?

How many computers are using the VPN (or the network itself)

Just one - but the message is (was) the same whether the VPN was loaded or not - just the location had changed. I say was, as this evening it is back to saying Proxy: None - very odd!

And now today it is back again whether the VPN is loaded or not. Could this be my ISP and should I be doing something about it??

So, it's not a shared VPN, but a dedicated box somewhere with it's own static IP address? Is the IP address you see here using and not using the VPN the same?
