A shell Proxy check, is it a falce positive?

Post by hessler »

Hello,
yesterday, I installed Bitvise and tunneled my traffic through a British proxy, to check the anonymity yesterday I used Proxy-check and it couldn't find any proxy. "Proxy server not detected" and all the tests were "FALSE"
But today, using the same SSH, Proxy-check is able to detect the proxy, "WIMIA Test" is "TRUE"
I don't know what went wrong since this proxy (which I needed badly) was undetectable and suddenly it's detectable.
The only change I made to my computer is Enabling "Internet Explorer" but I tried to disable it and I checked again still the "WIMIA" test is "TRUE"
How could this have happened? If it was undetectable, how does it becomes detectable suddenly?
Is there anything that can be done about it?
Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

Some components of our proxy check are no longer real time and, instead, are updated daily. Just means that the real-time check didn't catch the proxy and we picked it up on the daily batch process.
