Proxy: Suspected Network Sharing Device on home PC

Post by joebear »

Hi All,
I checked my IP address today and noticed that next to the Proxy was "Suspected Network Sharing Device" in red lettering. I check my IP address regularly and this is the first time I'm seeing that. I am on a home PC and the only PC in my home so don't know what that could mean. I diconnected my modem and restarted it but still get the same message. According to whatismyipaddress.com I have a dynamic IP address but it never changes everytime I check it. I ran a check of my ip address on another site and the proxy is None/Highly Anonymous.

Can someone help? Does this mean someone is accessing my computer without me knowing?

Thank you,
Joe

This site uses WIMIA and if it detects different operating systems using the same ip address, then it lists it as a suspected network sharing device.
