Hi,
I work for an ISP.
I am looking to find out where this site determines the values for Type and Assignment:
Hostname: 142.164.176.1
ISP: Stentor National Integrated Communications Network
Organization: Stentor National Integrated Communications Network
Proxy: None detected
**Type: Broadband
**Assignment: Static IP
The above is correct and works for my mail server.
I have another IP Address for a mail server and it shows up as:
**Type: Unknown
**Assignment: Dynamic IP
When I use this IP Address some of the SPAM sites block mail coming from this IP Address as they say it is a Dynamic IP Address when it is in fact a Static IP Address.
What do I need to update in order for my new IP Address to show up as Broadband and Static IP?
Guidance will be much appreciated.
Thanx,
John

Re: IP Lookup Type and Assignment Data Source
Type and assignment are pulled from a number of databases.
If you provide the IP address of the mail server that is having delivery issues I can probably point you in the right direction to resolve them.

Re: IP Lookup Type and Assignment Data Source
The IP Addresses are in the 142.165.191.0/24 and 142.165.194.0/24 subnets.

Re: IP Lookup Type and Assignment Data Source
Can you provide the specific IP address that's being shown as dynamic? I'd rather not take the time to check each IP in the two /24's.
Re: IP Lookup Type and Assignment Data Source
It is both these /24 subnets.
eg 142.165.191.55 , 142.165.191.55
Hostname: 142-165-191-55.regn.static.sasknet.sk.ca
ISP: Saskatchewan Telecommunications
Organization: Saskatchewan Telecommunications
Proxy: None detected
Type: Unknown
Assignment: Dynamic IP
Hostname: 142-165-194-55.sktn.static.sasknet.sk.ca
ISP: Saskatchewan Telecommunications
Organization: Saskatchewan Telecommunications
Proxy: None detected
Type: Unknown
Assignment: Dynamic IP
I need both of these /24 subnets to indicate Static / Broadband
Ideas?
