What is telling you that it is "registered"?

The headers of the email do not appear to be forged. So it would appear that it is "legit" in the sense that it was sent from a Yahoo email address.

The content/intent of the email may be entirely fraudulent though. What makes you ask?

It said it was registered with AVIN when it gave me my results of the IP address

Oh, I see what you are reading. The IP address was allocated by ARIN to Yahoo. All this is telling you is that the mail came from a Yahoo server and the sender's IP address is not included in the headers. I'll work to get that communicated more clearly in the future.

It comes down to the question of content/intent to determine if the email is legitimate. In general I would say to be cautious and trust your instinct when it comes to legitimate content of an email. You came here so you must have some concerning. Care to share.
