Hi,
The other day I received a mail of a person trying to extort money from me. It seamed like the mail was send from my own account. It contained an image with the ransom text. It stated that the mail contained a pixel which when the mail was opened informed the extortionist that the mail was opened.
I was wondering if that is possible, a pixel in a mail that inform the sender that a mail was opened.

Pixel in mail?
Re: Pixel in mail?
It is possible by someone who as access to the server where an image is stored. One method of protection is to set your webmail or email software so that it doesn't show images from unknown senders.
