I am Spam

Post by Antonio en Unioptica » Tue Nov 22, 2016 3:43 am

Hello!

I don't know much about IP. But recently some people told me they didn't receive my emails. That made me think I was a spam. I checked in Blacklist Status and that gave me the result. I am blacklisted at:
b.barracudacentral.org
dnsbl.sorbs.net
dul.dnsbl.sorbs.net

And I don't know what should be my next step.
Thank you very much,
Antonio

Couple of questions:

1) Did you receive a bounce message to the emails that you sent (and were not received)?
2) Did you check your IP address or the IP address of your mail server?

I didn't receive any bounce message at all, in all aspects, everything was fine.
And I didn't check anything at all from my IP.

Unfortunately it's pretty hard to diagnose email delivery issues without an error message.

The DUL listing of your mail server's IP address will absolutely have a negative impact on your ability to send email. Surprised that you've not received undeliverable notices because of that.

Without knowing the specific IP address, going only off what you posted, you'll need to work with your ISP to setup a valid non-generic rDNS/PTR record for your mail server's IP address. For example: 10.0.0.0 --> mail.example.com --> 10.0.0.0

Once you've got that setup you can visit the SORBS website and request removal of your mail server's IP address from the DUL list.
