In the dark...

Post by Zombienaic »

I have a small client base and I tried to send out a winter newsletter using Godaddy’s Mailer Utilty but I could not get it to work. So out of shear ignorance I sent the newsletter as an attachment to my 100 plus clients listing them as BCC.

Now my home IP has been blacklisted. I can’t even get to some websites.

While there is a business reason to send a BCC message to 100 people, there generally is not for home users. That's the reason you were blacklisted.

I suspect you may have already taken care of this, but if not you should contact your ISP and ask them to help you remove the blacklist and if they can recommend a business emailing solution for your newsletter.

If you have a business web site you could contact your hosting provider to help you get set up for bulk emailing. The last option is to use a paid service of which there are many that should work as long as you follow their rules. Good Luck!
