Can you help me remove the blacklist?

Post by doggy »

Hello everyone.

It appears my IP address is backlisted on three servers.

Can someone please advise on how I can get it removed?

many thanks.

Are you operating an outgoing mail server at that IP address or having issues accessing/using something?

I'm trying to join a website called www(dot)fabswingers(dot)com. They seemed to have banned my partner. I can join using a different IP but I can't log in from home, as soon as I log in it effectively locks the account.

I've tried joining using a VPN, incognito, mobile data, different devices, wiping a PC and reloading the OS. I can only think the website has some kind of block on my IP.

Of course I could be wrong.

Thanks.

The SORBS listing basically means that it's a dynamically assigned IP address and you shouldn't be running a mail server from there. If they were using that to block signups it would basically block everyone.

It sounds like they've blocked your home IP address and then set a cookie to prevent you from logging in at a different IP address.

The test of this would be to use a VPN while in incognito mode -- unless they're blocking VPNs. And then create an account using nothing that is the same as a blocked account.

I have an old account I can still log in with but I can't make a new account for my partner.

I've tried clearing my cookies etc.
If I use a different pc and different IP I can log in, but as soon as I try from home it locks me out.

Every time I try a new account it's a different email and user name, it's very frustrating.
I'm with Virgin media in the UK and I've asked for a new IP address, they said I can't get a new one although they said my IP is dynamic and changes every 24 hours.
If I look up my IP online it's always the same, nothing changes.

Is there anything else I can try?

Thanks

They may block based on two accounts using the same IP address.

To change your home IP try powering off your modem and router for 8 hours. In most cases this causes a new IP to be assigned.

We can apply for removal from blacklisting at their website: http://www.sorbs.net/lookup.shtml

Reason for listing - Dynamic IP Addresses See: http://www.sorbs.net/lookup.shtml?86.14.76.243
